Effective Date: September 1, 2022

Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated with the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform providers of upcoming revisions to the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Policy Handbook that will publish and be effective on September 1, 2022. The handbook includes EVV standards and policy requirements for:

  • Program providers
  • Financial Management Services Agencies (FMSAs)
  • Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers
  • Payers such as HHSC and MCOs

How this impacts providers: The revisions include changing section titles, updating terminology, deleting sections and adding descriptions. For more details, visit the EVV Handbook Revision Log – September 2022.

Next steps for providers: Providers should share this communication with their staff.
