Provider Alert! New Online Provider Directory Platform

Date: July 12, 2021

Attention: All Providers

Effective Date: May 1, 2021

Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event.  TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) would like to inform our network providers that beginning May 1, 2021, there will be a new online provider directory platform. The vendor, Perspecta, will replace the current i-directory.   Providers will not have to take any action in order to gain access to the new online directory. It will be accessible on our website, www.texaschildrenshelahtplan.org, and the provider portal as i-directory is today.

The features and benefits that providers will experience with the new online directory are as follows:

  • Improved results due to enhanced search options
  • More detailed information offered in the enhanced provider profile
  • Provider files are refreshed daily so users have access to the most accurate information
  • More ways to share provider search results, via SMS texts, e-mail, pdf, and fax
  • Google maps is incorporated in the provider profile

How this impacts providers: Providers have a regulatory and contractual requirement to maintain their demographic information with both TCHP and Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP).

For TCHP, the notification of demographic changes can be completed by accessing the appropriate form on the provider web page or portal at, https://www.texaschildrenshealthplan.org/for-providers/resources/downloadable-forms once completed, fax to (832) 825-8750 or email providerrelations@texaschildrens.org. Here is a description of the forms you will need to complete:

  • Provider Information Form– to add a new provider or new location to your group
  • Provider Information Change Form– to submit demographic changes

For TMHP, all providers’ addresses in the TCHP provider directory must also be on provider record and enrolled with Texas Medicaid at Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership at tmhp.com.  If demographic updates are needed, providers must notify TMHP by completing the information change form available here.
Next steps for providers: Providers should inform their staff of this change. Feel free to contact your Provider Relations Liaison if you have any questions or concerns. The contact information for the Provider Relations Liaison in your area is available here.
If you have any questions, please email Provider Network Management at: providerrelations@texaschildrens.org.
