Subject: Provider Information and Resources on CHIRP, DPP BHS, RAPPS and TIPPS

Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated with the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.

Call to action: Below is information from the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding the Comprehensive Hospital Increase Reimbursement Program (CHIRP), the Directed Payment Program for Behavioral Health Services (DPP BHS), the Rural Access to Primary and Preventive Services (RAPPS) and the Texas Incentives for Physicians and Professional Services (TIPPS).

Please find information below on the upcoming reporting period (October 10 – November 6, 2022) for state fiscal year (SFY) 2023 (year [Y] 2) for CHIRP, DPP BHS, RAPPS and TIPPS.

CHIRP Y2 Round 1 Reporting Webinar, Companion, and Template

• HHSC will hold a reporting webinar to provide instruction on the reporting process and template. The Y2 Round 1 reporting webinar will be held on October 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Please register for the webinar at this link.
• HHSC will notify participating providers when the reporting companion (instructions for using and submitting the template) and reporting template are posted to the reporting portal Bulletin Board by October 10, 2022. HHSC will post a link to the recorded Y2 reporting webinar on the Bulletin Board by October 14, 2022.

Program Resources

The Y2 measure specifications, program requirements, and contact change form can be found on the CHIRP Quality website. Participating providers should ensure that all contacts are up to date prior to the start of the reporting period. HHSC will use the contact lists to send reporting-specific materials, correspondence, and invitations for reporting “Office Hours”.

DPP BHS Y2 Round 1 Reporting Webinar, Companion, and Template
